A master plan for a satellite medical park was developed to meet the growing health care needs of Central Louisiana with a physicians office building constructed in the initial phase. The heavily wooded site consists of 24 acres of gently rolling hills located along a highway.
The building site projects a strong presence to the highway while minimizing the loss of existing pine trees and opening up to views of the pond beyond. The single story building was broken down into a series of pavilions scaled to respond to the surrounding neighborhood. An exterior walkway and covered drop-off unifies the pavilions while a central atrium provides waiting space for each office suite and organizes circulation.
