LaSalle General Hospital was in need of new physicians office space to replace existing facilities that were too small and in poor condition. Physician focused office space would enable the hospital to recruit new physicians to this rural parish, essential to the future development of the hospital.
The new Physicians Office Building provides an environment that enhances the daily experiences of staff and guests alike by accessing views to the site, admitting controlled natural light into ample interior volumes, implementing a varied color palette, and providing clear circulation.
The building extends the architectural language of the hospital campus through use of complementary materials and colors. Sloped gable roofs and a variety of articulated building forms reduce the scale of the sizable building as a consideration to the context of the nearby residential neighborhood.
