A native of central Louisiana, Shelly returned home after graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Architecture at Louisiana Tech University. After a stint as a summer intern, Shelly was invited to stay awhile. She has been with the firm since 2007.
In her final year at Tech, Shelly’s design studio designed and built a house for Habitat for Humanity. She feels that being a part of the house construction has given her insight into the constructability of ideas. This experience led to her interest in the organization and she now serves on the Board of Directors for Rapides Habitat for Humanity as Secretary.
Shelly also enjoys playing with mud, as a resident ceramic artist at River Oaks Square Arts Center. She views her work in ceramics as well as architecture as opportunities to strive for creative solutions to practical problems.
