After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Architecture at Louisiana Tech University, Melody traveled the ‘world’ practicing architecture in Nashville, TN, Managua, Nicaragua, and Lafayette, LA. She ultimately has come “full circle,” returning to the place she calls home, Central Louisiana. Traveling and living abroad has taught her invaluable lessons on how we, as architects, play a major role in creating and shaping ‘our place’ in the world. Her ultimate goal is to use her experiences, knowledge and skill set to make her community a better place.
While at ABW, she has worked on several projects ranging from Skilled Nursing Facilities such as The Woodlands Healthcare Center in Leesville, La to Central Louisiana Technical Community College, CLTCC in Alexandria, La.
When she is not throwing and kicking balls with her sons, Luke and Jon, she enjoys creating with her hands: drawing, painting, writing, or simply fixing things. She is an active member in the local AIA Chapter and has served as Vice President. She also serves through her local Women on Mission Chapter, leading and connecting women in her community.
In this wonderful phase of her life, she couldn’t feel more blessed to be able to call Ashe Broussard Weinzettle Architects “home”.
