As the first new student housing at Louisiana Tech in 30 years, University Park reinvented the established campus housing model. Built in two phases, a series of low-density buildings were selectively placed on the 13 acre site to minimize impact on the heavily wooded site. The apartment-style units are comprised of two bedroom flats and four bedroom townhouses with a shared living room.

The buildings are arranged to form five distinct shared commons that encourage various levels of student interaction and are strung together by the campus Alumni Walkway that extends the pedestrian connection to the south campus. The housing also forms a backdrop to J.C. Love Baseball Field. Terraces extend from the buildings towards the outfield fence to enhance the game day experience.
