In 2006 the Louisiana Baptist Convention selected Ashe Broussard Weinzettle to orchestrate a multi-phased renovation of the convention’s state offices. Renovations included a complete modernization of the building’s mechanical system, lighting, and life safety features. First phase renovations included the business office, Baptist Message, BEL Credit Union, The Baptist Foundation, and the employee café.
An interior palette of flooring finishes, wall coverings and paint colors was developed to be implemented on a progressive basis to promote a unified aesthetic for the interior of the building as future phases progress. In addition, new lighting was specified to complement the building’s contemporary geometry. A smoke evacuation system was engineered to bring the central atrium into modern code compliance, and the voice and data infrastructure was upgraded to meet current and future demands.
